Storage.... Don't know the best way to store your dried fruit and
nuts.?
Here are some great storage suggestions to make sure
you get the best out of your purchases. These suggestions will help to get
the longest possible shelf life for your products.

Nuts - any
product Dried
Fruit Products Fruit & Nut
Mixes All
Confectionery - except chocolate products
Best storage:

In the fridge in a Tupperware (TM) type
- airtight container. Some nut varieties can be stored at these
temperatures successfully for more than 2 years! ( I hope that you
won't take that long to eat through a 1kg of nuts or we will be out of
business!)
Otherwise, remember cool, dry & no
sun - MOST IMPORTANTLY ... Temperature must not exceed 18
degrees Celcuis at any point during the day - including summer.
Excessive storage temperatures will increase the oxodisation process, sending
your lovely munchies rancid and infested before their time.
Protect them!
Always store opened packs in a clean and dry airtight
container, free from strong odours. Make sure all containers are airtight
- not just with screwtop lids etc. Do not use if lid seals are
broken.
Never leave packs open in the fridge - they will
absorb moisture and smells from the fridge. Pegs, clips and rubber
bands may be OK to close up some other types of packages but NOT for any of
our products as they all like to take on the flavour of others, so they need
really airtight seals.
If you have too many items for the fridge - you can
freeze raw nut & dry roasted nut products. Just remember that the
texture may be a little different after thawing. Please do not freeze any
types of salted nut products, confectionery or snack products from our
range.

Chocolate Products - store in a cool dry
place between 16-20 degrees celcius
Always store opened packs in an airtight container as
chocolate can absorb flavours from nearby foods.
Chocolate can "bloom" at temperatures lower
than 12 degrees celcuis. Bloom is caused by the fat cells re-settling
on the surface of the chocolate coating causing white or opaque
blotches on the chocolate. This happens with chocolate that has been
stored below 12 degrees or chocolate that has been subject to extreme
temperatures. The chocolate remains edible with bloom, however,
some consumers don't like the look or the "feel" of the chocolate after
bloom.

Rice
Crackers
Wasabi
Peas
Soya
Crisps

Always store opened packs in airtight containers,
away from heat, moisture & direct sunlight. These products can
take higher storage temperatures than nuts etc, however, we still recommend
storage at no more than 18 degrees celcius.
